REPORTS TO: Director of Group and Corporate Sales

 

ABOUT THE POSITION

ATG-Entertainment is seeking a organized and proactive Group and Corporate Sales Associate.  This individual will be the point person for all group and corporate inquiries, sales, and logistics for all ATG Broadway productions.  The ideal candidate will be an engaged, organized, and proactive person with a results-driven mindset while always maintaining a sense of professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • The Group and Corporate Sales Associate will oversee all group and corporate inquiries and sales for the New York theater market, with special focus on all ATG Broadway productions.
  • Research and target potential organizations (social, religious, educational, corporate, tour/travel etc) to pitch group sales opportunities to a Broadway show, especially those in an ATG venue.  
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all group inquiries via phone and email, offering expert guidance from the initial booking through purchase flow and eventually performance, carefully tracking each communication.
  • Enhance the group experience with the up-selling of venue event space for pre-show mixers, post-show talkbacks, along with special pre-purchased food and beverage packages.
  • Coordinate group requests, due dates and payments through the group sales ticketing system and the box office.
  • Handle sensitive payment information with care, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Research and target HR Directors of local and national corporations to feature and offer special opportunities to ATG productions as part of their company’s employee perks/benefits.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with diverse audiences, box offices, ticketing teams, and other key industry professionals to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
  • Follow up with each group account post-show to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and to gather key learnings for improving processes.
  • Meet agreed-upon objectives and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends. Must be willing to travel.
  • Attend yearly tour and travel conventions to promote ATG Group Sales and the various Broadway shows, and regional venues, ATG represents. 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The ideal candidate is expected to have:
 

  • Proven experience with handling group sales, ideally in the commercial theatrical industry.
  • Superb organizational and communication skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Sharp sales skills to confidently deliver the value and excitement of live theatre to successfully drive sales and revenue.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with key internal and external partners with exceptional follow-through.
