HOURS: Full Time, Flexible and Extended Hours, Nights/Shows, Weekends, and Holidays, in addition to Normal Office Hours 

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with Experience

 

ABOUT THE POSITION 

ATG Entertainment is seeking a full-time Facilities and Property Assistant Manager to oversee and be the OPS MOD at night during shows at all 3 venues - Majestic Theatre, Empire Theatre, and The Espee. In addition to Show MOD, this position will coordinate building facilities and maintenance operations with the Facilities and Property Director. This position requires hands-on work, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained venue. 

Note: As designated landmark venues, all facilities and maintenance work must comply with local historic preservation and landmark regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

General Maintenance & Repairs:

 • Maintain and update building logs, maintenance reports, and documentation on monthly and quarterly checks (including among others – fire extinguishers, sprinkler inspections, emergency lighting, etc.). 

• Maintain overall knowledge of the building’s HVAC, elevator, MEP, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.

 • Perform maintenance and repairs to doors, flooring, carpeting, tile, restrooms, lighting, fixtures, and finishes. 

• Address minor plumbing issues (e.g., sinks, toilets, leaks), and maintain soap and paper dispensers, caulking, and other building-related components.

 • Install/remove appliances, plumbing fixtures, and equipment as needed. 

• Clean and maintain storm drains and rooftop/in-house drainage systems. 

• Monitor and respond to HVAC and elevator issues to ensure consistent building.

Facility Operations

 • Manage part-time facilities event attendants. 

 • Manage part-time custodial staff and oversee cleaning standards. 

• Apply special attention to guest-facing areas such as lobbies and bar spaces, handling cosmetic repairs including drywall, sanding, spackling, and touch-up painting. 

• Keep accurate maintenance logs and property reports. 

• Upload building logs and documentation to Vanity.

Fire & Security Systems 

• Manage and maintain the fire alarm and burglar alarm systems. 

• Conduct monthly and annual inspections of fire extinguishers, fire panels, and emergency exits. 

• Ensure emergency lighting and evacuation signage are operational and compliant. 

Emergency Preparedness

 • Maintain knowledge of the building’s emergency procedures and support disaster readiness planning.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

 • High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional certifications or training 

• 2+ Years in facilities, trade, or similar positions

 The Majestic Theatre is ideal for concerts, theatre, dance, and comedy shows, and currently hosts the Broadway in San Antonio Series. Originally built in 1929, it boasts Baroque, Mediterranean Revival, and Mission Revival architecture, is a National Historic Landmark, and one of the only remaining atmospheric theatres in the country. 

Built in 1914 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Empire Theatre hosts a variety of live events, including comedy shows, music concerts, and private events. The Empire Theatre offers flexible seating options in the orchestra level, including cabaret, in-the-round, and classroom. The Espee (formerly Sunset Station) is a boutique amphitheatre and events venue east of downtown in St. Paul Square. With over 20,000 square feet and Sensitivity: Internal Use nine unique venue options, The Espee is a picture-perfect place to host opening and closing night receptions for the thousands, award dinners, fundraisers, corporate night outs, products launches, kick-off parties, and private concerts.
